Welcome to Marksbury CE Primary School.

Reception Admissions

The Bath & Mendip Partnership Trust is the Admissions Authority for Marksbury CE Primary School.  However,  all applications for Reception places must be made to the Local Authority (LA).

Marksbury CE Primary School is part of the Bath and North East Somerset's Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme. Therefore, Marksbury CE primary school admits Reception pupils in accordance with the admissions policy determined by Bath and North East Somerset Council.  Children are offered three full terms of education in their Reception year and most are admitted in the September following their fourth birthday.

 In Year Admissions

In year admissions are requests for places at Marksbury CE Primary School aside from the initial admissions of Reception children each September.

As an own admission authority, The Bath and Mendip Partnership Trust is responsible for setting in year admissions processes for Marksbury CE Primary School.

Schools Admission Appeals

If you are refused a place at your preferred school, you have the right to appeal against the decision.  Information about school admission appeals can be found on the link below.  The School Admission Appeals Timetable for 2020 can also be found at the bottom of the following link.

 The Published Admission Number

Marksbury CE Primary School’s Published Admission Number (PAN) is 15 for entry in the reception year.. The school will accordingly admit this number of pupils each year if there are sufficient applications.
