The Partnership Trust is the Admissions Authority for Marksbury CE Primary School. However, all applications for Reception places must be made to the Local Authority (LA).
Marksbury CE Primary School is part of The Partnership Trust. Therefore, Marksbury CE primary school admits Reception pupils in accordance with the admissions policy determined by Bath and North East Somerset Council. Our admission arrangements below should be read in conjunction with Bath and North East Somerset's Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme.
Children are offered three full terms of education in their Reception year and most are admitted in the September following their fourth birthday.

In year admissions are requests for places at Marksbury CE Primary School aside from the initial admissions of Reception children each September.
As an own admission authority, The Partnership Trust is responsible for setting in year admissions processes for Marksbury CE Primary School.

The Published Admission Number
Marksbury C of E Primary School’s Published Admission Number (PAN) is 15 for entry in the reception year.The school will accordingly admit this number of pupils each year if there are sufficient applications. Where fewer applicants than the published admission number(s) for the relevant year group are received, the Bath And Mendip Partnership Trust will offer places at the school to all those who have applied.
An Admissions Committee comprising of Governors is responsible for taking admission decisions for children joining the school during the academic year.
